I’m just not sure. A market where the trade outnumbers the underlying production by a 60,000%? Admittedly, that’s overstating it – because we don’t just trade new gold, we trade all the gold that’s already been mined. But still: the total London trade implies that the entire gold supply of everything that has ever been mined in history changes hands every 34 days.
Unreal.
